You can expect a relaxed but well-thought-through event that is geared for most ages and Christian denominations. We will have time where we sing a few songs together, listen to stories, have discussions, and have some free time for chats. We’ll have opportunities for you to give feedback throughout the conference to let us know if you had some insights you’d like to share. Don’t forget about the banquet and late night bants on Friday night! Bring your favourite outfit for the evening - as fancy or casual as you like.

We want you to come away from the weekend being encouraged that you’re not the only one still working through struggles. We also hope that at the end of the conference, you feel a bit more encouraged that you can have hope in the midst of your own challenges and the confidence not to feel ashamed by them. Most importantly, we want you to come away with practical tools for confronting shame in your life.

Any woman aged 16+ is welcome to attend She Is (if you’re under age 18, you’ll need to come with a guardian). While this conference will express a Christian ethos, you don’t have to be a church-goer to get meaningful experiences from the weekend. We’re working to tailor information and music towards universal understanding.

Midlands Park Hotel is located in the middle of Portlaoise. Check out their website to explore the look and feel of the place! Their conference area is located inside the hotel, so if you stay there, you don’t have to walk outside to access the event hall. They also have a spa and leisure centre with a pretty nice pool, sauna, hot tub, and gym to check out during down times.

Your ticket includes parking, childcare for children age 1 and under, lunch and the banquet on Friday, and all tea/coffee/pastry breaks during the conference.

Midlands Park Hotel includes breakfast with all of their rooms (it’s a good one, too - hot breakfast made to order as well as a buffet of continental options).

All coffee/tea/treat breaks on Friday and Saturday are included. Also included is lunch on Friday as well as a three-course banquet on Friday night.

Yes, the hotel will be providing free parking for all attendees, even if you aren't staying at the hotel.
